Day 1

Arrival in Mexico City

According to your time of arrival you are picked up from the airport or bus station in Mexico City and brought to your hotel. Overnight stay. (Meals: None)

Day 2

City Tour & Anthropological Museum

After breakfast you are taken on a city tour. You will visit the huge Zocalo with its famous Cathedral and the Government Palace with its impressive murals by Diego Riviera, amongst others. To make the city tour perfect, it finishes with an informative visit of the Anthropological Museum which is situated on the brink of the Chapultepec Park. Afterwards you are brought back to your hotel. In the afternoon you have the chance to discover Mexico City on your own. Overnight stay. (Meals: Breakfast in the Hotel & lunch on the tour)

Day 3

Pyramids of Teotihuacán & Basílica de Guadalupe

Today you are off towards the impressive archeological site of Teotihuacán that is situated about 65 kilometers away from the city. It is the largest city of ruins in Latin America covering 22km² and a large portion is still yet to be excavated. You definitely should not miss out on climbing up the Sun and Moon Pyramids, as they provide an imposing view of the “City of the Gods”. Then, continue on to the Basilica de Guadalupe, Mexico’s most famous pilgrimage site before being brought back to your hotel. Overnight stay. (Meals: Breakfast in the Hotel)

Day 4

Mexico City – Puebla – Oaxaca

After breakfast your guide takes you to Puebla, a city with colonial charm, full of history and famous for its location in the middle of four volcanoes. In Puebla itself, take part in a city tour, during which you will see all the important sites and landmarks the city has to offer. Before departing for Oaxaca, you will visit the colorful Temple Santa María Tonantzintla with its beautifully intricate façade and afterwards the famous pyramid of Cholula. Day 5

City Tour & Monte Albán

After breakfast enjoy a city tour through the historic colonial center of Oaxaca. During your tour you will visit all the “must see” sites of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterwards visit Monte Albán, the most distinguished archeological site of the region. Many years ago, Aldous Huxley, an American writer, was fascinated by this Zapotec city that is situated on an artificially flattened mountain. It will definitely impress you, too. Discover the site’s temples, pyramids, and ballcourts while exploring these unique ruins. Return to Oaxaca in the afternoon. Overnight stay. (Meals: Breakfast in the Hotel)

Day 6

Tule, Mitla & Hierve el Agua

After breakfast enjoy a quick stop at the world’s widest tree, the Tree of Tule, before continuing on to visit the archaeological site of Mitla with its ornate geometric mosaics. After exploring these ruins continue to the limestone waterfalls of Hierve el Agua, where you can take a refreshing dip in the mineral rich water with a breathtaking view of the surrounding area and the waterfalls. Relaxed and refreshed, return to Oaxaca where you can use the evening to give the regional specialties a try. Oaxaca is famous for mezcal, dried grasshoppers, delicious mole dishes and the typical chocolate from the region. Overnight stay. (Meals: Breakfast in the Hotel)

Day 7

Oaxaca – Chiapa de Corzo

After breakfast travel from Oaxaca to Chiapa del Corzo (approx. 550 km). Relax and enjoy the scenery of Mexico´s varying ecology from the dry mountains of Oaxaca to the jungles of Chiapas. Once in Chiapa del Corzo take some time to explore this charming colonial town and the beautiful Santo Domingo church. (Meals: Breakfast in the Hotel)

Day 8

Cañon de Sumidero & San Cristóbal de las Casas

After breakfast you will visit the famous and immense Cañon del Sumidero, which at its highest point reaches 1000 meters. Enjoy an exciting boat tour through the canyon, where an exotic world of flora and fauna is waiting for you. Afterwards, continue to the colonial village of Chiapa del Corzo where you can visit the beautiful church and still have enough time to enjoy your lunch. From Chiapa del Corzo you will return to San Cristóbal de las Casas. Overnight stay. (Meals: Breakfast in the Hotel)

Day 9

San Cristobal – Indigenous Communities & Misol Há – Palenque

After breakfast visit the indigenous villages of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan where you will experience an authentic impression of the customs and lifestyle of the Tzotzilen and Tseltales, who are still living an autonomous and traditional way of life. Visit the colorful “Templo de San Juan” and spend time with a Tzotzil family before continuing on to the beautiful waterfalls of Misol Ha. Enjoy a final dip in the tranquil pool below the waterfalls before continuing on to Palenque. Overnight stay. (Meals: Breakfast in the Hotel)

Day 10


Awaken to the sounds of the jungle and enjoy a relaxing breakfast before visiting the archaeological site of Palenque. It is not the largest, but it is definitely one of the most beautiful of the Maya cities because of its architectural fantasy and harmony with nature being found in the middle of the tropical jungle. Explore the mysterious ruins on a guided tour and climb up to the top of the Temple of Inscriptions and enjoy the view above the jungle canopy. The afternoon is at your disposal. Overnight stay. Day 11

Palenque – Campeche

After breakfast visit the charming colonial town of Campeche. It became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997 and has an immaculately well maintained historic center with colorful buildings and cobblestone streets. Relax in one of the many plazas and try the famous regional cuisine. Stop at one of the many Forts this city has to offer and be transported back in time to when this city battled with pirates and conquerers. Don´t miss the incredible sunset from the boardwalk. It is said to be the most beautiful in the country. Overnight stay. (Meals: Breakfast in the Hotel)

Day 12

Campeche – Uxmal – Mérida

After breakfast, visit the archaeological site of Uxmal, which is the Yucatan’s most important archeological excavation, apart from Chichen Itza. Explore the unique ruins and architecture classic of the Puuc region. Afterwards, continue to Mérida, better known as the “white city” where you will have a guided walking tour through the city stopping at the Palacio Municipal, Paseo de Montejo and the Cathedral. Day 13

Mérida – Chichén Itzá – Cancun

After breakfast visit Chichen Itza, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and Mexico’s most famous and magnificently restored archeological excavation for a guided tour. Admire the monumental Kukulkan pyramid, which is also known as “El Castillo” and a variety of other impressive constructions this magical place has to offer. Depending on the rest of your vacation you are brought to your hotel in Cancun or the airport for your flight home. (Meals: Breakfast in the Hotel)
