Day 1

Arrival in Cancun

According to your time of arrival you are picked up from the airport in Cancun and brought to your hotel. Overnight stay. (Meals: None)

Day 2
Cancún – Valladolid, Chichén Itzá & Yokdzonod – Mérida

Early in the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in Cancun and head towards Valladolid. After your guided tour of this beautiful colonial town, it’s on to Chichen Itza. This is the most famous and well preserved archeological site in Mexico. Explore the splendor of the Kukulkan pyramid and the other impressive buildings. After a delicious lunch in a local restaurant continue to the Cenote Yokdzonod which is found in a small Maya village. Take a refreshing dip in the crystal clear water before continuing on to Merida, also known as the “white city”. Overnight stay. (Meals: Breakfast in the Hotel)

Day 3


Today you will experience pure nature and relaxation. In the morning visit Celestun, a small fishing village on the Gulf of Mexico which is famous for its beautiful lagoon. Take a boat ride through the fascinating mangrove swamps while observing one of the largest flamingo populations in North America as well as many other exotic coastal birds. Enjoy the unique flora and fauna of this lagoon caused by the mixture of fresh water and salt water, or use Celestun Beach to just relax and soak up the warm Mexican sun. Afterwards, return to Merida to enjoy a relaxing evening strolling through the historic center. Overnight stay. (Meals: Breakfast in the Hotel)

Day 4

Mérida – Hacienda Yaxcopoil & Uxmal – Campeche

After breakfast you will visit the Hacienda Yaxcopoil which in the 17th Century was one of the major sisal plantations of the Yucatán Peninsula. Explore the expansive grounds and visit the museum to learn a little more about the history of this spectacular Hacienda. The tour then continues to the archaeological site of Uxmal, which next to Chichen Itza is the most important of all Maya cities found on the Yucatán Peninsula. Enjoy a guided tour where you will visit, among other things, the Pyramid of the Magician and the Sorcerer, the Casa de las Monjas, Palacio del Gobernador and the Ball court. After a full day continue on to Campeche, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. Overnight stay. (Meals: Breakfast in the Hotel)

Day 5

Campeche – Calakmul

Today you will enjoy a guided tour of the city of Campeche The small fishing town is charming with its brightly painted houses and well preserved buildings from its colonial past. Visit the Fortress and stroll through the bustling market, or simply admire the city and its hustle and bustle from one of the many restaurants. Try the local specialty “cochinita pibil”. Campeche is famous for delicious regional dishes. Afterwards your tour continues to Calakmul. Overnight stay. (Meals: Breakfast in the Hotel)

Day 6

Calakmul – Laguna Bacalar

After breakfast, visit the archaeological site of Calakmul. This site is embedded in the almost untouched Calakmul Biosphere Reserve which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a guided tour and explore the numerous pyramids and buildings of this impressive Maya city. Afterwards continue to the tranquil Laguna Bacalar. Overnight stay. (Meals: Breakfast in the Hotel)

Day 7

Laguna Bacalar – Tulum

Today you get to explore the picturesque Laguna Bacalar where you can take a dip in the crystal clear water, rent a kayak, enjoy some fresh seafood at a local restaurant or visit the San Felipe Fort. Afterwards continue to Tulum. Explore these spectacular ruins which are situated on top of a cliff overlooking the Ocean. Overnight stay. (Meals: Breakfast in the Hotel)

Day 8

Tulum – Holbox – Playa del Carmen

After breakfast, head to the Chiquilá Pier for a boat trip to the pristine Isla Holbox. The day is free to swim, relax on the white sandy beaches or explore the island. In the afternoon return to your hotel in Playa del Carmen or Cancun or be brought to the airport. (Meals: Breakfast in the Hotel)
