Oktoberfest-Feeling in Mexico! –
Last Saturday, on the 19th of September, the Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, was opened with the famous „O’zapft is“! The 182nd Oktoberfest in Munich is in full swing and will take place until Sunday, the 4th of October. Some call it madness, others claim that it is their personal fifth season of the year. Either way, the German festival attracts millions of visitors from all over the world each year. Last year there were 6.3 million! Everyone wants to experience the unique „Wiesn“-atmosphere: sitting and swinging to German brass band music with a beer stein in one of the many party tents in a traditional Dirndl or Lederhose.
But that is not all that the Oktoberfest program has to offer. There are numerous events going on, some with a centuries-old tradition. Of course this includes the annual entry of the hosts that always takes place on the opening day. Also, there are many rides to entertain the visitors.
But those who are not able to go to Munich don’t have to be sad. Because by now the Oktoberfest has spread to many other countries, including Mexico! If you are in Mexico you should have a look at the following events for Oktoberfest-feeling:
